Baseball Rules & Regulations

TBK Bank Sports Complex Fast Pitch and Baseball Rules 

This is not an all-inclusive manual of Baseball & Softball Rules. Any rule not mentioned or altered in this manual will follow the USSSA rules for baseball and softball.

Rules are subject to change and any changes will be announced in advance to the coaches. 

 

Team Captains/Team Manager-  

 

Captains are to encourage players of all teams to show good sportsmanship and follow the rules stated below. If a team is questioning a call, the team captain/manager should be the person who speaks with the umpires or league staff. Team captain/Manager must have a full roster submitted.

All players must be on team roster. If the player is not on the team roster, they will not be able to play.  

 

TBK Bank Sports Complex waivers must be submitted before games start. Players that do not have a waiver signed will not be allowed to play in the league.  

 

Players/Coaches- 

Must follow all TBK Bank Sports Complex softball/baseball rules and abide by TBK Bank Sports Complex Code of Conduct. Players/coaches must understand TBK Bank Sports Complex Code of Conduct and be on USSSA team roster to play in games.  Players/coaches ejected for violating the spirit of the game will be required to leave the premises and will not be allowed to return to the game  

 

Balls-  

All teams should have 2 - 3 game balls per game. These balls do not have to be new but in good condition. 

 

Run limit-  

5 run limit per inning. 

 

Uniform-   

Teams should have players in a team uniform. For chilly weather players should be wearing the same color shirt/jacket/sweatshirt. Please reach out if you have questions.

No metal spikes or cleats can be worn on any TBK Bank Sports Complex fields. If a player is found wearing them, they will be not be allowed in the game.  

 

Umpire-  

 

One umpire will be assigned to each game. Basic rules will be discussed with participants prior to the start of the competition. All decisions of the umpire are final.  The umpire can eject players/coaches/fans when they see fit.  

 

Umpire will base ejections off of players/coaches/fans not following TBK Bank Sports Complex Rules and Code of Conduct. Home team is to keep score and turn into umpire at the end of the game. Both teams should sign off on final score card before leaving the field. Umpires will submit scores to league staff.  

 

Base Coaches-  

 

The batting team can have a base coach at first and third base. Base coaches can switch as needed. Base coaches should move out of the way of fielding team running to catch balls. Base coaches cannot physically assist a runner to bases.  

 

Game Length- All games will be played as drop dead on time length. 

 

Softball games will be 60 minutes- drop dead.  

Baseball games will be 75 minutes- drop dead. 

 

Weather and Makeup Games-  

 

If the weather does not allow games to be played, an e-mail will be sent to Manager/coaches by 4:00pm. Weather delays during games will be made by league staff and umpires, based on TBK Bank Sports Complex weather plan. 

 

League make-up dates will be the week of October 24, 2022.  

 

The Facility Rules-  

 

No coolers permitted- including but not limited to teams and spectators.  

No outside food permitted. 

The use of sunflower seeds, pistachios and gum are prohibited and may be grounds for removal. 

No popcorn in the dugouts. 

Pets are not permitted anywhere on the complex grounds. 

 

Warm Up Areas-  

 

Team warm-up areas are between the fences behind the outfields in each pod. 

Do not jump fences. Please use the gates located near the dugout 

entrances or near the outfields to access the warm-up areas. 

Batting cages are first come, first serve, and may be used for warm-up purposes. 

Bullpen areas are to be used only by the teams actively playing on that field.
