Men’s Basketball Adult League Rules 

Team Captains- Captains are to ensure that all players have TBK Bank Sports Complex waivers turned in by January 9th ,2022. 

  • Captains to encourage players of all teams to show good sportsmanship and follow the rules stated below.  If a team is questioning a call, the team captain should be the only personwho talks with the ref or TBK Bank Sports Staff. Captains should submit a written roster to the ref.    

Waiver- All players must have TBK Bank Sports Complex waivers turned in by January 9th ,2022.  Players that don’t have waivers will not be allowed to play in the tournament until both waivers are submitted to TBK Bank Sports Complex staff.  

Players- Must follow all TBK Bank Sports Complex basketball rules and abide to TBK Bank Sports Complex Code of Conduct.  Players must have TBK Bank Sports Complex waivers. Players should wear sports apparel when playing.  Players ejected for violating the spirit of the game will be required to leave the premises and will not be allowed to return to the competition. That player will also be suspended for the next game.  Athletic shoes must be worn at all time.   

 

Coach’s and Players Code of Conduct

  • Practice good sportsmanship and encourage it from fellow players; 

  • Refrain from using violence, unfriendly language, or insults; 

  • Obey the rules of the game and accept the decisions of the game officials; 

  • Show respect for my peers, whether teammates or opponents; 

  • Comply with the rules of the spaces provided by TBK Bank Sports Complex and the event organizers.  

I also agree that if I fail to abide by the rules and guidelines provided above, I will be subject to disciplinary action by the League Coordinator that could include but is not limited to the following:?? 

  • Verbal and/or written warning; 

  • Player and/or team suspension from games, season, or league.

Team Composition- Each game will be 5v5. The maximum players you can have on one team is 12. Each player must be 18 years of age and out of high school. No player can be a part of a semi-pro team or an international team. You are only allowed to be on one roster.  

Equipment- Any kind of jewelry is not allowed while you are playing in the game. If someone is found with any jewelry on by the referee, they will be given a technical foul and must be replaced by a teammate. Each team will need to have the same color jersey or shirt with numbers on the back. Numbers cannot be taped on. 

Beginning of the Game- Each game will begin with a jump ball at center court. A minimum of 4 players must be present to start a game. Teams will have 10 minutes after the original start time to get 4 players on the court. If less than 4 players are present for a team it will be declared a forfeit  

Game Time and Time-Outs- A game will consist of two 20-minute halves. The clock will stop only for team time-outs, an injury, and the last two minutes of each half. If teams are tied after regulation, there will be a 2-minute overtime period. If still tied after the overtime period it will become sudden death and the team to score first wins. Each team will have 3 time-outs for the whole game, with the time-outs lasting 1 minute. Halftime will be 3 minutes. 

Fouls- Each player is allowed 5 personal fouls per game. After the 7th team foul, it will become 1 and 1 bonus. After the 10th team foul, it will become double bonus. If a player gets two technical fouls in one game they will be ejected and must sit out the next game.
